Integrative Wellness Educator • Teacher • Founder of Soul Medicine, Inc.

Avani Jaya's work began long before it became a profession.

Raised in a family shaped by military service, trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges, she witnessed early how prolonged stress, pain, and survival patterns can ripple through individuals, relationships, families, and communities.

Rather than turning away from those realities, they became the beginning of a lifelong inquiry:

What genuinely helps a human being heal, grow, and create meaningful and lasting change?

That question has guided decades of education, study, personal practice, teaching, and service.

Avani holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and Business, Master's degrees in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership, and has pursued doctoral studies in Divinity and Herbal Medicine. Her professional education and training extend into counseling, yoga, meditation, breathwork, hypnosis, consciousness studies, integrative wellness, and other embodied and contemplative practices.

Yet much of what has shaped Avani's work has occurred beyond the classroom.

Her path has included extensive study within brain wave entrainment, yogic and contemplative traditions, work with teachers and communities from diverse wisdom traditions, exploration of meditation and consciousness practices, and decades of inquiry into the relationship between the mind, body, nervous system, behavior, environment, meaning, and human potential.

Rather than asking people to adopt a particular belief system, Avani encourages something different: curiosity, discernment, direct experience, and the willingness to question what we think we know.

Her approach brings together trauma-informed principles, wellness education, yoga, meditation, breathwork, nature, reflective inquiry, and contemplative wisdom. Where contemporary research and ancient traditions intersect, she explores that intersection. Where they disagree—or where science simply does not yet provide an answer—she believes intellectual honesty and curiosity are more valuable than certainty.

Today, that philosophy lives through Soul Medicine, Inc., the nonprofit organization Avani founded to make wellness education, community support, personal development, and opportunities for meaningful human connection more accessible.

She works with people navigating stress, burnout, grief, addiction recovery, major life transitions, questions of identity and purpose, and those who simply recognize that there may be a more conscious and sustainable way to live.

At the heart of her work is the belief that lasting transformation is not measured solely by what someone understands during a class, retreat, meditation, or breakthrough.

It is measured by what changes in the way they live.

Whether Avani is teaching Life Mastery, yoga training, facilitating meditation or breathwork, guiding an immersive experience in nature, supporting community outreach, or sitting with one person seeking a different way forward, her intention remains remarkably consistent:

To create an environment where people can slow down enough to hear themselves again, examine the patterns that have shaped their lives, reconnect with their own inner resources, and consciously choose how they want to live moving forward.

Her work ultimately reaches beyond individual wellness. Avani believes that as people become more aware, resilient, compassionate, and grounded within themselves, they become better able to bring those qualities into their families, workplaces, communities, and the wider world.

“What guides everything I do is simple: helping people come back into relationship with themselves, their bodies, and the world around them—so they can live, lead, and serve from a place of clarity rather than exhaustion.”
